Siddharth Vinayak Patankar is the Editor-in-Chief at carandbike – India’s leading automobile content platform. Siddharth in his talk focuses on how technology is enhancing in-car connectivity and providing gratification through tailored hedonic driving experience and how there is a marked change in the way a car is looked at in this connected age.
Siddharth has also spearheaded Auto Programming for the NDTV network and was the force behind successful shows like India’s most-watched and longest-running auto program – The Car and Bike Show, as well as others like The Getaway, Great Overland Adventure, Freewheeling, and the Mahindra AQ. He has also been a primetime news anchor and senior correspondent at NDTV for over 2 decades. And he is the youngest and first-ever Asian journalist to be appointed as a Director on the Steering Committee for the prestigious World Car Awards. He has held that post for over 5 years and was responsible for WCOTY’s first appearance in India at the 2020 Delhi Auto Expo – with its very own pavilion and press conference. He has served on that jury since 2011.
Siddharth Vinayak Patankar heads Auto Programming for the NDTV network and is the Editor-In-Chief, Carandbike shows like The Car and Bike Show, A very Ferrari summer, Freewheeling, and the Mahindra AQ. He has conceived all the automobile based content for the NDTV network – including the annual Car and Bike Awards. He is one of the key drivers behind NDTV’s digital auto venture – carandbike.com –the country’s 2nd largest auto portal. Siddhartha is the first Asian journalist to be appointed as a Director on the Steering Committee for the prestigious World Car Awards, and has served on that jury since 2011.
